Billings Farm & Museum to Host Vermont Public Radio's Listener Picnic Saturday, September 11, 2010

WOODSTOCK, VT … Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont's Rural Heritage, will host Vermont Public Radio's annual listener picnic on Saturday, September 11 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The VPR picnic is free, open to the public, and accessible to people with disabilities. Billings Farm & Museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., offering free admission for the entire day.

Entertainment will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the Dave Keller Band, followed by the music of Twist of the Wrist. At 1:15 p.m., National Public Media Correspondent David Folkenflik will be interviewed, followed by a question and answer session. Maple Jam will begin performing at 2:00 p.m.

Farm & Museum activities will include horse-drawn wagon rides, chair-caning demonstrations, butter making, the curator's tour of the 1890 Farm House, livestock programs, plus the 24th Annual Quilt Exhibition.
