Sheep Herding with Border Collies
Billings Farm & Museum, will host Sheep Herding with Border Collies on Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. featuring border collie programs and family-centered activities about sheep and wool.
Watch as border collies herd sheep in the farm fields during programs at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30, 2:00, and 3:30 p.m. Meet an ewe from our Southdown flock, learn how we care for her, and why this breed was important on Billings Farm a century ago. Discover different methods of working with wool; using wool sheared from Billings Farm sheep, children and adults can make and take home a felted wool ball.
