“Labor & Leisure” at Billings Farm & Museum

Billings Farm & Museum, celebrating its 25th Anniversary Year, will host Labor & Leisure Day on Monday, September 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Lend a hand sawing wood with a crosscut saw, building a rail fence, working in the heirloom garden, and enjoy 19th century games. Experience the latest in 19th century laundry techniques and learn how potato starch is made. There's even ice cream making with samples for all - after the cranking is done. Horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered from 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Admission to Labor & Leisure Day includes all programs and activities, plus an added bonus - the 22nd Annual Quilt Exhibition featuring an exquisite selection of contemporary Vermont quilts.
