Foodways Fridays Featured at Billings Farm & Museum

WOODSTOCK, VERMONT...Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont's rural heritage, announces a program designed for children and adults to discover how to use heirloom garden vegetables in historic recipes prepared in the 1890 Farm House kitchen. Foodways Fridays will be offered each Friday this summer and fall, from July 16 through October 15, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and will feature recipes during the late 19th century.

Visiting families can learn about the history, importance, and uses of old vegetable varieties and watch as they are prepared into seasonal dishes in the farmhouse kitchen. Each Friday will feature recipes to take home.
