“People's Choice” Quilt Awards

Announced by Billings Farm & Museum

WOODSTOCK, VERMONT....Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont's rural heritage, announces the results of the "People's Choice" awards for the 23rd Annual Quilt Exhibition held August 1 through September 27, 2009. The exhibit featured the recent work of area contemporary quilters. Over 10,000 visitors viewed the exhibition and over 2,000 ballots were cast for favorite quilts. The results:

FULL SIZE QUILTS

1st Place: Radiant Star
Sherry Bingham, Perkinsville. At the exhibition opening the Curator's Choice Award went to Sherry's quilt Radiant Star, too.

2nd Place: Stained Glass, Ann Chubbuck, Bridgewater Corners

3rd Place: Something New From Old, Elizabeth Allen, Windsor

SMALL/MEDIUM SIZE QUILTS

1st Place: Fantasy Flowers, Sherry Bingham, Perkinsville

2nd Place: Outside the Box, Crystal Wood, Bethel

3rd Place: Bashful Moons, Adelaide Johnson, Andover, being congratulated by Robert Benz, Curator, at Billings Farm & Museum.
