23rd Annual Quilt Exhibition Awards Announced by Billings Farm & Museum
WOODSTOCK, VERMONT.... Billings Farm & Museum announces the results of the Curator's and Juror's Choice Awards, for the 23rd Annual Quilt Exhibition, open daily through September 27. Sherry Bingham of Perkinsville, VT, received the Curator's Choice Award for the quilt, Radiant Star, from Billings Farm & Museum Curator Robert Benz.
The Quilt Exhibition is a juried show; this year Billings Farm & Museum asked each of the three jurors to select the quilt they thought most deserved to be recognized. The results: Nola Forbes chose Mr. Billings' Parquet by Marguerite Auger; Alexandra Nickerson selected Horticulture 101 by Ruth Buchanan; and Christine Fries-Ureel chose Fantasy Flowers by Sherry Bingham.
The 23rd Annual Quilt Exhibition is open daily through September 27 and features the recent work of Windsor County quilters. Admission includes the operating dairy farm, orientation and farm life exhibits, the restored and furnished 1890 Farm House, plus daily programs and activities.
